About Career Space

What this site is

Career Space explains what moving abroad for work actually involves in financial terms: which work permits exist in a given country, what salary they require, what a salary is worth after tax and social contributions, and what living there costs month to month.

It is a reference site. We publish figures and the official documents they come from. We do not process applications, do not place candidates with employers, and do not sell services of any kind.

How the figures are produced

Every figure that can change — a visa salary threshold, a tax rate, a special regime for incoming workers — is stored with the official document it came from and the date we last checked it. Both are shown on the page.

This matters more in this subject than in most. Salary thresholds and tax brackets are revised on a schedule, and a page that was correct last year can be quietly wrong today. Showing the check date lets you judge for yourself whether a figure is still current.

Methodology The full procedure is described on the methodology page.

What this site cannot do

We cannot tell you whether your application will succeed. Immigration decisions depend on your nationality, your employer, your documents and the discretion of the authority handling the case — none of which a website can assess.

Nothing here is legal, immigration or tax advice. Before you act on any figure, confirm it with the official authority of the country concerned. Where we can, we link straight to that authority.
